The Most Common Move
A partial move usually consists of the moving of items and loading of cartons you have already packed, the delivery of these items to your new home and the placement of your items and cartons into the rooms of your choice. This is the most common type of move our customers choose.
We generally wait to wrap items on the truck to save time and the customer money. The way shown below is how we most often load a truck. Wrapping furniture inside the home takes a lot longer, and makes the item more difficult to hold onto. Some items will be wrapped inside the house before loading on the truck. They are wrapped inside because of a special request or because of how awkward they are to move through doorways. Our trained movers are able to judge which method is the best. In the end we do whatever the customer prefers.
Full Service Move
A full service move involves the packing of all of your smaller possessions into cartons, disassembly of items such as beds, dressers with mirrors, and the loading of these cartons and all of your possessions onto our moving vans. We then drive to your new home unload all items and cartons into the rooms of your choice, unpack the cartons we packed, set up the items we disassembled and remove all cartons and packaging for disposal. This type of move is generally conducted over a two day period (size dependent) and is charged at an hourly rate based on the manpower required plus materials.
We routinely deliver to and from Ontario, Quebec and New York. This is based on an hourly rate plus a mileage rate, for the travel.
